Which cloud, for what:a practical map for Indian businesses.

Four hyperscalers with Indian regions, plus Indian providers for price-sensitive and sovereignty-driven workloads. What each is good at, what it costs in practice, and when your own hardware wins.

How to read this
  • Hybrid is the default answer for Indian SMEs: stable core on private infrastructure, elastic edge on public cloud.
  • Egress, snapshots and managed add-ons add 30–60% to naive cloud estimates — budget for them.
  • DPDP Act and sector regulators (RBI/SEBI/IRDAI) are satisfied by Indian regions or on-prem; the auditor decides, not the law alone.
