Does Google always use my description?
No — it rewrites when the description does not match the query. A good one still raises CTR for brand and head terms.
Why does WhatsApp show the wrong image?
Caching. Change the image URL (add ?v=2) or use Facebook’s Sharing Debugger to refresh.
