FAQ
Common questions
Why is in-hand less than CTC ÷ 12?
CTC includes employer PF, gratuity and sometimes variable pay and insurance that never reach your bank. Deductions: your PF share, professional tax and income tax.
Old regime?
Old regime makes sense only with large HRA + 80C + home loan deductions; most salaried people under ₹20L now pay less under the new regime. We can add an old-regime comparison if you ask.
Is this exact?
Close for standard salary structures. Company-specific components (NPS, meal cards, LTA) change the number — ask HR for the payslip structure.
