FAQ

Common questions

Should I prepay or invest?
If your loan rate is higher than what you can safely earn after tax (e.g. home loan 8.5% vs FD 6.5% post-tax ~4.5%), prepaying wins. Keep an emergency fund first.
Why does the bank quote a different EMI?
Rounding, processing fees added to principal, or a different compounding convention. Differences are usually under 1%.
